Save 40% on all FIGMENT Assets. Use code BLACKFRIDAY at checkout. Sale ends Dec 1.

Can I try the assets before buying them?

Click the "Discover" button on any FIGMENT asset to open its Gumroad page, where you can find a free sample.

Free Sample limitations:
- Non-commercial use only
- Lower resolution or fewer styles/options

Despite these limitations, the free samples should be sufficient to evaluate their quality and compatibility with your software.

Please note that we are not responsible for our partners' asset shops or the availability of free samples for their products.

I bought a single asset, but now I want the full Volume. Can I upgrade?

The cost to upgrade from one, or multiple assets, to their full Volume is calculated like this:

The current price for the Volume (including discounts) - minus - the current regular price (ignoring discounts) for the asset(s) you already own from the Volume. Note that there is a minimum charge of €20 per upgrade.

Examples:
You own a single asset (€30), Full Volume costs €100: Upgrade = €70
You own a single asset (€30), Full Volume costs €70 (on sale): Upgrade = €40
You own two assets (€60), Full Volume costs €100: Upgrade = €40
You own two assets (€60), Full Volume costs €70 (on sale): Upgrade = €20

If you would like to upgrade your assets to a full Volume, please contact support@figment.dk.

Can I get an invoice for Tax and VAT purposes?

When you purchase an asset, you can fill in your VAT information at checkout. Once the sale is completed you can generate an invoice from the product download page by clicking on Receipt > View receipt > Generate invoice. Here you can fill in any missing information and save the invoice as a PDF.

You can access the Receipt/Invoice button at any time by logging into your Gumroad account and navigating to your Library which contains all of your previous purchases.

For more information, please visit Gumroad's invoice guide.

Do the animated Caustics textures work with "render engine X"?

For best results with the Caustics textures, your software + render engine should be able to do the following:
1. Project an animated bitmap sequence (JPEG) through a light source
2. Let you control the light source's shadow softness while keeping the projected texture sharp

Watch our tutorials for using the Caustics textures in 3ds max with V-Ray and Corona, Arnold, Redshift, finalRender.

Do the animated Water displacement maps work with "render engine X"?

For best results with our displacement textures, your software + render engine should be able to do the following:
1. Load an animated bitmap sequence (PNG or EXR)
2. Apply the bitmap sequence as displacement on your desired surface (using a displacement node, shader, or modifier)
3. Allow you to adjust the bitmap interpolation (eg. Bilinear, Bicubic, Biquadratic) to make the surface smooth

Watch our tutorials for using the Water displacement maps in 3ds max with V-Ray.

Can the animated textures be converted to other frame rates, or timestretched?

Yes, I have made a free tool (After Effects template) that you can get here.

The template is set up to work with the following assets:
FIGMENT Water Vol 1
FIGMENT Caustics Vol 1
FIGMENT Treeshade Vol 1

There are a few caveats/things to keep in mind when re-timing the textures:
- Retiming the textures will always negatively affect their quality, as any new frames have to be generated from a guesswork of vectors found by the retiming filter, by comparing past, current, and future frames in the sequence.
- It is easier to get good results with low detail/motion textures vs high detail/motion textures. The Water displacement maps, for instance, will tolerate more time stretching than their Caustics counterparts due to the former having (relatively) low frequency detail and motion while the latter has many high frequency details and more motion (the further the caustics are captured from the ocean surface, the more motion they will have).

With those caveats out of the way, it is definitely possible to time stretch many of the textures while getting good results.

Prices do not include applicable taxes/fees. Additional taxes/fees will be listed prior to checkout.
